Sickies

Well since moving to Washington Elizabeth has gotten sick several times. In March, seemingly out of no where she had complained of a tummy ache became more and more agitated and then just POPPED! She started vomiting and didn't stop for 3 days! Ugh! I felt so bad for her. She did SOOO well, just rolling with the punches. She's amazing to me.
By the 4th day the vomiting stopped, but she then started to act more sick, tired, lathargic. I started to worry. I couldn't get her to eat or drink.
We called the Doc & they told us to take her to the ER.....
FINALLY at our SECOND ER visit we got some help :)
(The first ER visit: LOOOONG frustrating story.....)
They gave her an IV to fill her back up with fluids :(
"Owie"

She honestly did SOOOO well!
Someone at the hospital gave her some "princess" stickers (lots of them!)
so we played "Memory" with them while we waited.

As far as I know, this was her first popcicle, she LOVED it :)
She said "It's working MOM!" -"I feeling better!"
She really seemed to understand what was going on. We were SOOOO PROUD!
Her color started to return and she seemed to 'come back to life'

Just watchin' some cartoons

It was a LONG hard week. While we drove home she said
"I so glad I feeling better Mom!"

Honestly we could not have been more proud of her.
She handled everything so well and we were so surprised at how much she really did understand.
We got home at 5am and Jake even woke up and went to work!!!
Ugh, that man is a machine! He's a trooper!

It is awful when kids are sick- especially when you end up at the hospital!! Scary! What a little trooper! I'm glad she is doing better! Did they figure out what it was? Was it just a virus or something else?

Holy MOLEY. What a trooper you ALL are. How is it that Elizabeth is darling even when she feels so yucky. I'm so sorry and so glad she's feeling better.

Probably she is allergic to your new home and you should come back to Utah. Just an idea :)

There is nothing worse than hearing on the other end of the line, "Take your kid to the ER, stat!" I hate taking them to the doctor, much less the ER! Sends me into an instant panic.

I'm so glad she's feeling better. And it doesn't sound like either you or Jake got it, thank goodness. Or are you reading this with your throw up bowl next to you? Sure hope not. Miss you guys like crazy.

I'm so glad she's feeling better! it's so hard to see our sweet kids sick, but especially when you have to take them to emergency.
