Jake's Passion

Jake had an opportunity to go to the cabin and hunt with Mitch, Mitch's Uncle Brad and Mitch's friend Quaid. Jake has been hunting there with Mitch's family since he was 10. It was nice to go back "home". Here are a few of the highlights. Thanks Mitch for taking some great pictures!

Ah fishing! So soothing and gentile.

Mitch and Jake and then Quaid and Jake

Check out some of the amazing landscape out there at the cabin

Jake just loves to get out there and spend time in nature.

Jake almost stepped on this rattlesnake! But he being the manly man he is he tackled it to it's death and now has a badge of the rattle in his hunting bag.

Here is Mitch's Uncle Brad with his buck. Jake really enjoyed spending time with him again.

It's been a long time.

And YES!

It's been several years since Jake has been able to hunt and harvest an animal. We are PROUD of our Hunter! The last day of the hunt he shot this buck 15 yards away with his bow that he built from scratch. It was beautiful. We will have lots of good meat!

I can't tell you how fun it is to see these guys together. I still remember them on the couch, with the couch cushions off in there underwear (maybe it was diapers) watching tv and jake with his two middle fingers in his mouth. I think they were two then. It looks like you guys can still have a great time together! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah Flake (or should I say Libby?), glad someone took the time to blog our little outing. We had a fantastic time as usual, even better because it had been so long (too long). Oh, and by the way, nice shooting too. For those of you who dont know, Jake made a perfect shot, and his deer was down in about 5 seconds. Way to go bud.
